The 16-day Gokyo trek with the Chol La Pass and Everest Base Camp is one of the most amazing Himalayan adventures you can experience. This trip offers unexpected beauty and a thrilling journey through nature. It takes you into a region known for being home to the highest mountains in the world, including the fabled area of the Sherpa people, who tell stories of the mysterious yeti that may lurk in the mountains.

While you might not encounter a yeti on this trek, you will witness the breathtaking landscapes of the Mt. Everest region. The cobalt-blue skies of the Himalayas are pierced by blinding white, snow-capped peaks that tower above 8,000 meters. Although Mt. Everest is the crown jewel at 8,848 meters, there are other equally impressive peaks in the region, such as Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho Oyo. Even the lower peaks surrounding these giants are taller than most mountain ranges on Earth.

This trek spans 16 days and takes you across high alpine mountain passes. You’ll encounter beautiful, remote mountain lakes that reflect the stunning, snow-capped peaks on their calm surfaces. As you hike, you’ll pass through dense forests filled with birch, rhododendron, juniper, and pine while observing monkeys swinging from tree to tree. In these mountains, you may also spot various wildlife, including deer, lynx, snow leopards, and blue sheep.

If you’re considering a trekking adventure this year, might we suggest the Gokyo and Chol La Pass Trek? Your representative at Nepal Planet Treks & Expedition would be delighted to help you curate a truly remarkable experience as you explore the breathtaking beauty of the roof of the world.
