Helambu Trek – Langtang Helambu Trekking Itinerary & Cost,

9 Days, Kathmandu-Kathmandu

This is the beautiful Helambu Treks and south part of the Langtang Range of Nepal, this is one of the short trekking routes and it will be 7 to 8 days schedule, it depends on your request. and it is a wonderful mountain scenery with surrounding via hills region. Helambu is just 72 km northeast from the Kathmandu Valley. There is great culture as well as picturesque villages along the way. One special group of Sherpa people have settled this land centuries ago and continue to farm its terraced slopes.

It is a land of Buddhism with many chhortens and stupas along the trail. Also calling this land home are the Tamang and Yolmo people who have lived side by side and in peace with each other for hundreds of years. This is a moderately easy trek and is most enjoyable. Nights are spent in local tea houses where you will interact first-hand with the local people who will welcome you with a steaming hot cup of tea. This trek can be done any time of year, and because of its lower elevation, is often recommended during the winter months where it is usually snow-free.  The maximum elevation is Tharepati Pass (elev. 3650 m) which will afford you outstanding views of the snowcapped mountains.

If you are looking for a short trek that will offer plenty of great scenery and culture, then the Helambu Trek is an ideal one for you. It is a good trek for any level of trekking experience. For beginners, it is a good place to begin while more advanced trekkers will appreciate its great scenery. Be sure to talk to your representative at Nepal Planet Treks & Expedition about doing the Helambu Trek this year.
