Annapurna base camp trek on 2017

12 Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek on 2017

There is something very unique about the great snowcapped peaks of the Annapurna Range. It may be Mt. Machhapuchhre which looks like an upended fish (its name literally means fishtail mountain!).  There are great views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna I, the 7th and 10th highest mountains in the world, respectively.

This trek takes you incredible close to the snowcapped peaks. You will visit the base camps of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre where climbers begin their ascents. You will pass by incredible glaciers whose cold waters of melting ice and snow form the source of many rushing mountain streams.

There are amazing hot springs, waterfalls that cascade off the mountains, turquoise blue mountain lakes and raging rivers crossed by high suspension bridges. In between discover wonderful little mountain villages with terraced farms that cling to the sides of the cliffs.

The Annapurna Base Camp trek is a popular trek with many visitors to Nepal. It takes you to high elevations into the very heart of the Annapurna Range. This area is home to over 100 different mammals, including snow leopards and blue sheep. There is plenty of interesting floras, ranging from sub-tropical to alpine.

All along the way, enjoy incredible panoramic views of the wonderful peaks of the Himalayas. And still, find time to explore the unique UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu as well as enjoying the lakeside city of Pokhara in the heart of the Annapurnas.

There is no doubt that the Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an experience of a lifetime. Your representative at Nepal Planet Treks & Expedition can put together all of the details to make this trek into the mighty Annapurna Mountain Range a reality for you.
